July Week 17-20

We went to see the pediatrician at the beginning of the week. Brooks weighs 16 pounds and is 26 inches long! He is a chunky monkey. Particularly his legs-even some lady at the grocery store commented on his chunky legs!

GG gave Brooks this fish tank when we were home over the 4th of July.  Brooks gets super fired up and starts talking to it.

Brooks is a blanky man. He pulled the blanket down on his head while he was sleeping.

4th of July-4 months old

4 months old already! We headed back to Iowa for the 4th of July and we had a great time seeing everyone. Brooks didn't like the car ride so much on the way there but did great on the way back.

 Brooks sure does love his cousin Ethan. Ethan had Brooks smiling & laughing.

Brooks is all  ready for the Iowa football season to start. Daddy and Uncle Jay went shopping for Hawkeye gear. This is one of the outfits purchased.

Week 13

Week 12

Week 12 already! Brooks had an in home hearing screen this week. Colorado has a free hearing screen program & since we had a home birth they have someone from Boulder County Health come out to do the test. He passed and didn't care about having ear phone buds stuck in his ear.

Brooks' new thing is to lie in his crib and "talk" to the mobile. He gets a huge smile on his face, then the legs start going, then the cooing begins.

We tried the pacifier again because he keeps sucking/chewing on everything but after a few minutes he pulls the pacifier out and doesn't want anything to do with it.

Watching Baby Genius DVD while I made some lunch. 

What the heck is this thing??? 

My mom sent a neck support for his car seat-I think he may be a little to small yet.

                                                        Mom also sent the turtle.

Other big news (for me anyway): We got a new washer & dryer! Woohoo! I don't have to run downstairs any more to re-balance the washer or turn the dryer on twice to get things dry! It will make washing diapers(and everything else) so much easier!

Week 11 May 23rd

We went to our first visit with our pediatrician this week. Brooks did well-he didn't care about being manhandled by the doc. She was very nice and said he looks just perfect. He now weighs 12 lbs 12 oz and is 23.5" long.

Watching hockey playoffs. We think he likes hockey-he gets very excited when the players are moving arond then calms down when play stops.
