July 24 Brooks took his first few solo steps-he is so proud of himself. This was the night before we were getting ready to go back to Iowa. Guess he thought he should get to walking so he could chase Ethan when he got there!

I bought Brooks this train book-it's a book that folds out so he can drive his cars on it or we can fold it up and he can sit in it.

Lizards and Snakes-What Was I Thinking?

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science had a Lizards and Snakes exhibit so we decided to take Brooks-don't know what I was thinking since snakes give me the creeps-oh the things you do for your kids. He had some ooohhh's (espeically if they were moving) . He just took it all in. Wasn't completly disinterested but not super fired up either. I think he liked watching the people better. Here are a few photos of what we saw

Goofing Around (July 4)

Happy 4th! This is our 4th!

Ask and you shall receive. I asked Brooks to look at the camera and smile and this is what he did over and over and over

 Anytime we are cooking, Brooks has to come into the kitchen-wants up, a spatula and to stir whatever is in the pan. I decided to give him his own pan and some Puffs to stir

Apparently Brooks has been paying attention to the cooking shows when they say to taste your food

Brooks didn't want to sit still long enough for me to put his shorts back on so it was just a diaper most of the day. Good thing since this is where we ended up..
