GG visit & 6 months old

GG was here for a visit at the same time Brooks turned 6 months old (already!) My mom took so many pictures it has taken me some time to go through them-I still haven't made it through all of them!)-but I thought I should get a few posted. Brooks had lots of fun with his GG.

Brooks loves it when we open the hatch on the car and talk to him. Whole new experience to have the hatch open and be out of this car seat!

New Booties

New booties for winter! 

The day after we got them the weather was a little chilly so we took them for a test drive- they are big but they stayed on his feet & Brooks didn't mind having them on.

In the rocking chair that Mimi & Papa brought out for us (wearing new outfit GG sent.). The rocking chair was Brian's grandma's and Brooks likes to sit in the chair & watch the tree outside.

Rolling over!

Brooks is now rolling from his back to his stomach and occasionally he rolls back the other way (I think he forgets that he knows how)! He was trying to roll over when Mimi, Papa & Jay were here but just couldn't get all the way over. Of course, the day they left he finally got it figured out. He is also grabbing/grasping anything & everything. Most things go straight to his mouth. The last couple days he has decided to do this loud high pitch squeal-I think he just likes to see how loud he can be.

Mimi, Papa & Uncle Jay's Visit Aug 12-16

Mimi, Papa, & Uncle Jay came out for a visit.  We had lots of fun & it was so nice to have them here.

We went to the Real Pirates exhibit at the museum. It was pretty cool & worth seeing. Brooks did really well walking the exhibit in his baby carrier. Did have a little meltdown but then he took a cat nap & all was well.

We went to Babies R Us while everyone was here and bought Brooks this play center.

5 months old!

Another outfit from Uncle Jay. The shorts are big-but couldn't resist putting them on.

                                
We had a hot air balloon come right by our house and land in the neighborhood behind us. Brooks could hear the balloon but couldn't zero in on where it was coming from.

Our friends Amy & Gavin visited with their 9 month old, Aedan and they forgot their stroller so we took it out for a test drive. Brooks seems to like going for a ride. He just chills out.

Our neighbors gave Brooks this play center. Keeps Brooks entertained for a little bit. It plays music and has a couple rattles that he can bat around.

One of Brooks' favorite yoga moves. He thinks it's pretty funny to hang upside down.
